November Favorites

When the seasons change, we experience a sympathetic internal shift. All life-forms open themselves up to receive cosmic redirection from nature during these crucial seasonal transitions, so we are likely to be more vulnerable and unsettled.

November carries a personal significance for me, marking a pivotal moment in my journey. It's the month that I gracefully stepped away from the hustle of a full-time managerial role, creating room for a more fulfilling focus on teaching, creating, and being with the simple joys of life. Embracing this transition, I've found myself blessed with ample time to explore and appreciate the art of making the most of each moment. Join me as I reflect on the sources of joy and nourishment that have colored my November.

With any transition in life, it’s helpful to stick tightly to a grounding practice. When I need an extra boost of personal power, I seek the support of Benshen Co, a community of radiant visionaries who mediate together everyday. This has been my consistent practice all month long and I find it incredibly impactful.

I’ve tried a few different topical magnesiums and Cymbiotika Magnesium is by far the best. The formula doesn’t leave a sticky residue like others I’ve tried and the lavender smell is divine. I make it a nightly ritual to spray it on my chest before bedtime.

I’ve made use of my extra time by doing the things I said I never had time for: reading, kitchen time, dinner parties, writing. One recipe I was excited to try was Apple Butter. As a big fan of stewed apples, this recipe will be a new kitchen staple.

I am currently reading The Path of Practice by Bri Maya Tiwari. Something I started years ago and finally determined to finish. Whether you're seeking a roadmap to holistic well-being or simply intrigued by the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern life, "The Path of Practice" is a gem a frequently come back to.

I asked Oliver what brought him joy this month and he shared about the tote bag he bought at the supermarket. And another one he traded for at the farmer’s market. It’s the little things!
